Paul Engle, a poet from Iowa, knew the personal nature of poems. His poetry collection entitled Worn Earth was lauded by the Yale Series of Younger Poets. He dedicated his life to the support and teaching of creative writers—as director of the Iowa Writers' Workshop and as a founder of the University of Iowa's International Writing Program. In 1967, Kurt Vonnegut said this about him, "The former head, Paul Engle, is still around, is a hayseed clown, a foxy grandpa, a terrific promoter, who, if you listen closely, talks like a man with a paper asshole."
What we really like about these t-shirts is that they are so soft, and they’re longer than the usual t-shirt I find, so they don’t ride up in the back. They’re sturdy, but they’re not too thick, so they’re great for layering and for hotter days.
They're professional enough for conventions, readings, and signings. And they're eye-catching, so they can start conversations with new friends.
